Initial D: Mountain Vengeance is a 3D street racing game developed by Canopy and published by ValuSoft for the PC exclusively in North America on February 24, 2004. A video game adaptation of the manga and anime series Initial D, Mountain Vengeance is notable both for being the only non-arcade game in the series released outside of Japan and for being the only game in the series developed by a non-Japanese studio. It uses numerous elements from the Tokyopop anime dub, such as changing certain characters’ names and replacing the series’ staple eurobeat soundtrack to rap and hip-hop.
